1U Pointeuse description

Trig, Gate, Mute, Switch Everything!

Pointeuse has two states. It either connects In/Out to Out/ In I or to Out/In II. You can change its state by pressing a footswitch (via the included adapter expander), the backlit button or by sending a voltage signal into the Trig In input making the module highly interactive and controllable.

Pointeuse behavior can be momentary (as long as the button is pressed for example) or latching (the signal switches each time the button is pressed).

The switch has a true bidirectionnal behavior (2:1 or 1:2).

If no jack is connected to In/Out, a 5V signal will be present alternatively at Out/In I and Out/In II.

Pointeuse is compatible with all sustain pedal or footswitch available, just use Out/In II instead of Out/in I as your main out to reverse the pedal polarity.

Blank panels description

Keep your Rack clean and well organised with this blind panel.

Use it to fill gaps in your rig, protect the power distribution boards by keeping things from falling, as a starting point for one-off DIY modules, or just hang it up on your wall or your car’s mirror.

Each panel is reversible, with gold designs on one side, and solid matte black on the other. Panels are made from copper clad laminate (FR-4) and their thickness is 1.55 mm.

We designed 3U Eurorack format blind panels in 4hp, 6hp, 10hp, 12hp and 18hp sizes. We also have a 4hp panel in 1U format.

Crime I description

More diodes, filters, infinite combinations.

There are 6 diodes combinations you can chose from using the first 6-position rotary switch. We have selected 5 diodes and LEDs pairings, some symmetrical, some asymmetrical.

The sixth position is up to you. It features the same solderless header as on Miasma. This can also mean no diodes for extra harshness.

New to this version are two filters and a dedicated output.

The Low Pass Filter in the distortion core can help tame high frequencies, specially when Miasma’s feedback start to squeal.

The High Pass Filter is slightly resonant and works wonders whether it is to clean the low end or to create ear piercing noises.

The Crime Output bypasses Miasma’s Blend and other stages of the circuitry for a super raw and intense signal.

Crime connects to Miasma with an included cable. It replaces the diodes in Miasma‘s female header. This way you won’t have to take Miasma out of your case to change diodes and explore new distortion flavours.

Note than each diode has a different voltage drop, resulting in different loudness. You can still compensate for volume changes using Miasma’s level trimmer.

Crime cannot be used without Ritual Electronics Miasma.

Anima description

Patch – Excitement – Generators!

Anima draws its roots in the “west coast” analog function generators and updates them in the digital realm. 

This take allows for extremely precise 1V/Oct tracking (10+ octaves) when in cycling mode, and for the control of the rising and falling segments (aka attack and decay) curves without affecting timing + a few more tricks.

Anima has three basic modes of operation: 

  • AD, the module takes any signal as an input, turns it into a trigger to launch a rising segment (attack) and a falling segment (decay). The length of these segments are defined by Attack and Decay knobs. They are independent of the input signal.
  • ASR, the module takes any signal as an input and turns it into a gate. The attack phase is initiated at the rising edge of the gate, the voltage is then sustained during the length of the gate before starting the release phase (controlled by Decay knob).
  • Cycle does not rely on an incoming signal. It loops the rising and falling segments according to their lengths. Long lengths will result in slow, low frequency oscillations (max 80s). Short lengths rising and falling lengths will go to audio speed (up to 2kHz). An incoming signal can reset the cycle, to reset the LFO or sync the oscillator.

The 1V/Oct input turns Anima into a very capable digital dual oscillator – when in cycle mode – with two types of frequency modulation and voltage controlled waveform crossfading. Cross patching is highly recommended for harsh mayhem synthesis!

The 1V/Oct is also useful in “envelope mode” to shorten envelopes when an oscillator pitch gets higher thus recreating the behaviour of acoustic plucked instruments.

The Curve parameter goes well beyond the usual Lin/Log control. It morphs smoothly between several curvatures (including the classic log, lin and exp) without affecting the rising and falling times.
When tweaked in envelope mode, Curve opens up new performance possibilities. Changing the length of a segment is not always the solution. Modifying the curve shifts the emphasis of the envelope for nuanced phrasing.

When Anima oscillates, one can think of Curve as a waveform crossfader. The speed and symmetry of the oscillation is set with Attack and Decay. The form of the oscillation is shaped by Curve.

As usual with Ritual Electronics modules, each control has its dedicated attenuverter allowing for precise control and automation.

For maximum versatility each channel of Anima has an output polarity switch, making it 0 to +8V in unipolar mode or -5 to 5V in bipolar mode, suitable for audio or bipolar CV generation.

Altar description

Crossfade smoothly between Band-pass, Low-pass & High-pass

Altar filter configuration can be smoothly crossfaded from BP to LP to HP. This unusual filter type arrangement brings out very nice harmonics and nuances. It is really suited for CV control. The CV input has an attenuverter.

Resonance is under voltage control with attenuverter as well allowing for great timbre modulations. It is particularly useful to create accent patterns à la 303 which boost the resonance a bit.

You can beef up the signal at Altar‘s input with the gain knob. It will distort the filter core for wild sounds.

The filter tracks 1V/oct for 4-5 octaves and can turn into a very sweet sine oscillator. Try using it with Miasma as a waveshaper!

Altar has been designed by Mathieu Fröhlich (creator of Squarp’s Hermod) as part of a dream synth he is working on.

Miasma description

Distorsion, Feedback, Thickener & more!

Miasma feedback path feeds the distorted signal back in the input with no phase inversion, causing the module to self oscillate, even with no input. The feedback path can be opened to send it through different effects making Miasma perfect for complex feedback patches.

A blend knob allows Miasma to be used in a precise way, for more complex sound design.

The module’s clipping diodes are mounted on a header making it easy to swap them and craft the sound you want. The module ships with six different diodes, from germanium to LEDs and you can experiment adding your own. The output level may vary depending on which diodes you use, this can be adjusted with the level trimmer on the front panel.

We have developed Crime, a 4HP expander for Miasma which can switch between 12 different diodes without the need of taking the module out of your case.
